My site’s here to provide you with the best dog obedience and dog training advice possible – and to recommend what I believe to be the best dog training tools around.
Not everyone will buy dog training advice from Cesar Millan, but I will tell you what I believe is the very best in dog obedience and dog training tools. Getting the right dog obedience advice is central to having the best out of your dog. You deserve to have a well trained dog and your dog deserves it too.
For instance, if you have dog aggression, dog chewing, digging or other problems, then there are some steps you should take straight away.
Fix your dog’s aggressive behaviour easily
There are very good reasons for ‘bad’ dog behaviour – stemming from poor treatment, bad training, poor living conditions – a whole range of issues. You need to ensure that you are praising your dog when training and not reprimanding him. You will get far better results by doing so.
Avoid creating a bad relationship with your dog by punishing or reprimanding too much and part of this is to take your training in ‘bite-sized’ chunks so that you are actually working progressively on fixing your dog obedience issues.
Ensure that you communicate effectively with your dog. This can mean letting her know that you are displeased – not by yelling or hitting – but through tone of voice, leash jerking, depriving her of something, making her repeat a task etc.
Give her rewards when successful – including praise. Dogs want to be loved too and giving the right praise and reward will signal to her that she had done well. She will want to repeat the ‘good’ behaviour for you next time.

What Can Tintin’s Movie Show You About Dog Training?
Strange question, maybe, but there is some stuff in the Tintin movie trailer which is key to understanding how to obedience train your own dog. True.
Stop dog barking - This is one of the key training issues facing dog owners and it is something you can do something about quickly with the right training techniques. Continued barking can mean things are not right and you can fix the issue by being aware of what might be concerning your dog. Read more about stopping dog barking
Stop dog digging - This is another ‘perennial’ in the dog obedience area. Some dogs are literally bred to dig and you need to know your dog and your breed. There are also dogs that simply dig because they’re bored and think its fun. You can stop it . . read more about how to stop dog digging here.

So far as dog obedience is concerned, you must put your dog into a learning routine whereby he or she knows ‘learning time.’ Dogs will respond to a routine and if you pick the same time – the same as with walks and feed time – they will respond better because they are ready for it.
There are also a variety of techniques you can apply in training your dog properly, such as using different collars, training them in different areas of the house and using different ‘props’ to teach them about good behaviour. Toilet training is another major issue that needs (ideally) to be handled early in your dog’s life.
